Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.

FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is the thing this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
